| 144 MHz Meteorscatter Sprint Contest 2019
The 12th edition of the contest will take place from August 12th, 2019, 12.00 UTC until August 14th, 2019, 11:59 UTC.
The maximum of the Perseids meteorshower will be on August 13th, between 02.00 UTC and 15.00 UTC. Be aware of an encounter of a filament just at the beginning of the predicted maximum with an expected ZHR of 110.

The MSK144 calling frequency 144.360 has showed that, as long there is no general agreement, the use of 30 second TX/RX periods is strongly advised. The use of 15 second TX/RX periods has shown to lead to unneccessary interference and irritations between stations. The same with the use of wrong periods. Stations in PA/ON/DL usually TX second periods by local agreement and do not follow the normal MS-rules (north- / westbound stations 1st, east- / southbound 2nd) due to the high density of stations. It's inefficient as long there is no general agreement as we do have for FSK441 on 144.370. If you want to arange skeds with 15 second TX/RX periods it is adviced to choose frequencies well away from the calling frequencies.
