| Caribbean operation by VHF Pirates Call: 6Y5EME Locator: FK18 MWS: From: 2016-06-22 To: 2016-07-04 DXCC: 6Y Activity: EME-MS-TR Band: 50-144 Preliminary announcement for this year's Caribbean operation of the newly formed radio group called the VHF Pirates. The team will be active on 2m EME and 6m multihop Es from the north side of Jamaica, 6Y5. Callsigns are still TBD. Operators to include: AA7A, K2KW, N6CW, N7CW, W4KXY and WO7R. 6m activity may start on 22 June. This is a combined vacation (with spouses) and radio DXpedition. The radio part of the trip will start in earnest on 28 June and end on 5 July. 2m EME station consists of 4 times 9HX9V cross pol array and full power. 6m setup consists of K3/KPA500 and 7 element yagi. |
