| LATEST NEWS by Chris, PA2CHR, dated 2017-09-06: Hello to all, The team preparing the EME stations for the big 3Y0Z DX-pedition to Bouvet Island early 2018 will be QRV for a test from Atlanta on Sept. 9 and 10. They are testing the complete 2 mtr. and 6 mtr. stations for a final test before all equipment will be packed into the containers for transport to South America ! Please look for them if you like. (and if you want to know if you can work them....) Call sign and exact grid (possible EM73..) is unknown yet, but they will be on N0UK logger and possible ON4KST for 6 mtr. 144 MHz station: 2 x 22el. X-pol. M2 antennas and good power. 50 MHz station: 6M8GJ 8el. M2 antenna and good power They expect to be QRV at moonrise on Sept. 9 at 02:00 UTC. Moonset is about 14:00 UTC. Some activity also on Sept. 10 from moonrise at 03:00 UTC. |
