mcVxMicrowave IF Transceiver(mighty cheap VHF exciter)
mcVxMicrowave IF Transceiver(mighty cheap VHF exciter)

Hi David ... looks like we have trod many of the same paths ...

I've been using the mcHF in transverter mode for about 3 years as my 10/24 GHz rover's milliwatt 2M IF transceiver, I call it the mcVx (mighty cheap VHF exciter). My slides are at

http://50mhzandup.org/mcVx%20SDR%20microwave%20IF%20exciter.pdf

I find the in built panadaptor very handy for microwave field work.

For 122, I just bypassed the 2m transverter and revert to using the mcHF as a 2.5 MHz IF receiver.
