This video shows the use of a Tektronix Realtime Spectrum / Signal Analyzer to observe the live spectral content of signals in the audio frequency range. An old 8-ohm speaker is used as a microphone - and the realtime spectrum analyzer shows the composite result of processing nearly 300,000 spectrum measurements per second.
