Kazakhstani authorities have approved the experimental amateur radio operation on 4 m band from 1 May 2016 until 1 May 2017.
The current group of hams who received permission to operate include: UN7ZZ, UN8GU, UN8GC, UN2G, UN5GAV, UN7GOD, UN9GGH, UN6GAP, UN6QDD, UN8GEQ, UN7QX, UN9GWA, UN7IB, UN7IN, UN7IO, UN7ID, UN7IT, UN7IZ, UN3M, UN1F, UN8FF and UN7FW.
License conditions are to be clarified but initially the band will be 70.0-70.5 MHz and 100 W output power. Stations with callsign suffix beginning with the letters 'I' and 'M' are located in West Kazakhstan and should be within the reach on double-hop Es propagation from Europe.
