Gregory explains the circuit diagram and working principles of a 433MHz RF Amplifier, designed as PA for a demonstration phased-array system.

The goals of the design - adjustable gain and low return-loss are explained from the system perspective.

An analog HP 8505A VNA with S Parameter Test Set is used to demonstrate how well the design goals were accomplished.
