Most oscilloscopes have auxiliary inputs and outputs located on the back or rear panel. This video talks a little about them, and focuses primarily on the "vertical output" function. Many scopes have this output which provides a buffered copy of the signal that is being measured on one of the scope's inputs. This output can be used to drive other equipment such as a frequency counter, a spectrum analyzer, etc. This output can drive a 50ohm load, so it can also serve as a buffer - allowing you to probe signals in your circuit, and then use the scope to buffer those signals to use elsewhere. The response of this output is proportional to the size of the waveform (number of divisions). This means that at very low signal levels, this output provides some gain. Therefore, it can be used to increase the sensitivity of the scope in many cases, by taking this output can connecting it to a second channel. While it will likely not be calibrated in amplitude response, it is a useful technique for bringing up very low level signals.
