This is Part 1 of the Repair Log for a friend's Icom IC-706 Mark II G transceiver. He accidentally damaged a connector and flex circuit interconnect ribbon when installing some optional IF filters. This video shows the damage assessment, and the repair, re-soldering of a connector on the main board in the radio. Part 2 will show the replacement of the flex circuit and testing of the repaired unit.
