#116: Repair Log, Part 1: Yaesu FT-7800 Dual Band FM Transceiver, no VHF output
This is part 1 of a debug and repair video for a Yaesu FT-7800 Dual Band VHF/UHF FM amateur (ham) radio that quit transmitting on the 2 meter band. In this video, we confirm the problem, dig into the schematic and the radio and zero in on the likely cause for the problem. This video shows the basic process I took in the troubleshooting process to narrow down to the suspected faulty components. With the faulty components identified, the next step is to order some replacement parts, then install them and test - that will happen (hopefully) in Part 2 of this repair log... ...can be found here!
