#131: How to test transistors - NPN and PNP bipolar junction transistors, BJTs
A back to basics video showing several ways to test BJTs, or bipolar junction transistors. The example shown is an NPN transistor. To test a PNP transistor, simply reverse the leads of the meter. The use of an analog meter / VOM (Simpson 260) as well as a Fluke digital multimeter DMM is shown, as well as a couple of Heathkit transistor checker/testers.
