| For newcomers: The idea of activity weekends is to encourage activity on the less well used microwave bands outside contest weekends, no restrictions... if you wish then use the logger, telephone, HF....use any mode. It is not a contest. It enables everyone to make QSOs, test new equipment, feeds, preamps etc. Hopefully some of the big guns get on and provide signals for newcomers to look for. Next weekend is for 9cm, I plan to be QRV with my 6m dish and 90W at the feed horn. May I suggest that we all try and make a sun noise measurement and if possible a moon noise measurement, noting date and time. If you have an SDR then using Spectravue in continuum mode is a pretty good way to do this. The results will provide a pretty accurate figure for your G/T ratio as well as helping the estimates of moon temperature in EMECalc..The results from the 6cm weekend will be published in the next 432 and above NL. Leave the feed in the dish as the following weekend 14/15 August SP/OK1DFC will be active on 9cm. GL, 73, Peter G3LTF
