| KA6U - 41 US State 5 Month Roving Trip
I plan to visit 41 US States this Summer.
I do not have a firm itinerary yet for the trip.
Normally I provide a rolling detailed one week schedule.
This Summer I plan to activate 41 states, complete 3000+ QSOs.
Estimated driving distance is 7000 miles.
Operations Plan
Activate 41 states on 222 and 23cm EME
Activate selected rare grids on 2M EME
Activate selected rare grids on 6M MS/Es (focus on FFMA most wanted)
Activate selected states on 70cm EME
Run 1 or 2 EME bands simultaneously
Running 700W on 6M – 70cm, 400W on 23cm (digital modes FT8, JT65-B, Q65,
MSK144)
Logs will be uploaded daily to LoTW
QSL cards available with SASE through QSL manager: W6TCP (look up on QRZ)
For 6M MS chat I will use PJClient
For 2M EME I will use PJClient EME1
For other bands I will use HB9Q: https://logger.hb9q.ch/

NM, AZ, UT, CO, NV
Central US: June 15 – July 15, 2022
TX, LA , KS, MO, OK, AR, SD, IA, NE, ND, MN
Midwest US: July 25 – August 15
WI, IN, IL, MI, OH, PA, NY
Northeastern and Eastern US: August 20 – September 20
MA, VT, NH, ME, CN, RI, DE, NJ, VA, MD, WV
Southeastern US: September 22 – October 1
KY, TN, NC, SC, GA, MS, FL

| 41 US State 5 Month Roving Trip

Here is an update on my trip plans this Summer.
I will now be starting in the Eastern U.S. in mid-May. I don't have exact
dates yet for activations. I plan to post dates approximately a week in
advance.
Starting approximately May 12 - May 19: Activations in MD, VA, DE, NJ
May 20 - May 22 at the Dayton Hamvention
May 23 - May 26: Activations in WV, KY, TN, AR, OK
May 27 - June 12: In Texas, may do some grid activations and LA
June 13 - MS on way back to FL
On June 15 I will leave Florida and go up to the Northeastern US: GA, SC,
NC, PA, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME focus on FN45 in ME on 6M also
On July 20 - 24 I will attend the Central States VHF Society meeting in
Wisconsin. On the way to WI will activate MI, IN, IL
After the Central States meeting I plan to go to MN, ND, MT, WY, SD, UT,
CO, AZ, NM during August. Plan to do many rare grids in these states
From September 20 - 24 I plan to be in Ohio. On the way to OH I will
activate NE, KS, MO and rare grids
I plan to operate 2M, 222, 70cm and 23cm EME. I may not be on all bands at
each stop however I plan at least two bands on each activation stop. I
will also operate 6M, 2M and 222 MS. I will be on 6M FT8 and SSB also if
the band is wide open.
My stations are fully tested and everything is packed in my truck and RV.
In the next two weeks before leaving I will be working on my backup station
equipment for 2M and 23cm.
I will spare exciters and PAs for most bands. And of course a box full of
preamps :-). On the trip last Summer I didn't fry a single preamp.
If you need specific states to complete WAS on 2M - 23cm, if you like send
an email to my gmail account petervanh143@gmail.com. I will attempt to
operate on requested bands at each stop.

| My plans for the trip have changed again.
I do not plan activations before the week of May 25 - 28.
I will not be driving to the Eastern US in Early May.
I will attend the Dayton Hamvention in Ohio from May 19 - May 22
The update plan is to leave from Florida around May 25 heading West toward
Texas. I plan to do activations on multiple bands in MS and AL on the way
to TX.
During the first week of TX I also plan to activate in LA.
After the June VHF contest on June 11/12 I plan to head West to New Mexico
for grid activations in NM and West Texas.
Next I plan to go to the "Four Corners" area for AZ, CO, UT activation.
After this stop I plan to go North through CO to WY, and MT. Then East
through ND/SD to attend the Central States VHF meeting on July 20 - 24.
I should be able to post a more detailed plan on or about May 17th.
I am still planning to cover the full collection of States.
